Christian Bjone has been drawing stories for as long as he can remember. As a child, he filled pages with secret comic books and characters of his own creation. That early love of visual storytelling grew into a life shaped by drawing, design, architecture, writing, and illustration.

Meet Christian Bjone

Christian is a designer, illustrator, architect, and children’s author. Long before he designed buildings or published books, he drew and drew, making secret comics and story creations as a child. Architecture gave him new ways to think about line, space, structure, and the experience of moving through a world. Children’s books brought those interests together on the page.

The Zany Robots’ Costume Ball is Christian’s second children’s book for which he created both the writing and the illustrations. Drafted in ink and finished with watercolor, its lively pages reflect loving care, visual imagination, and what Christian describes as committed silliness.
